About Us

Dr. Kholood Hassan first came to San Luis Obispo as an undergrad at Cal Poly where she got her BS in Microbiology. She went on to get her Veterinary degree from St. Georges University on the beautiful Island of Grenada.

Being able to come back to San Luis Obispo and start her own practice is a dream come true. She shares her life with her husband, also a Cal Poly alum and a professor at the university, and their two dogs, Oliver and Odie. They are all the willing subjects of their cat Cia.

Dr. Molly McElrath grew up in Northern California. She was a competitive athlete and trained on the Stanford Junior Olympic diving team. Her diving career and strong interest in agriculture landed her at Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo, where she competed on their diving team while getting her B.S. in Animal Science. She attended Western University of Health Sciences to obtain her Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine.

Dr. McElrath is thrilled to be back on the central coast. Her professional interests include preventative care, nutrition and she has advanced training in Traditional Chinese Veterinary Medicine. When not at work, she can be found paddle boarding, hiking, or riding her horse. She has a feisty cross-eyed kitty that she adopted in college and a spirited paint horse. Dr. McElrath looks forward to meeting the wonderful residents of San Luis Obispo county and their beloved pets.

Our Registered Veterinary Technicians and Veterinary Assistants help get samples, take radiographs, monitor anesthesia provide nursing care including vaccinations, administering medical treatments and provide comfort and care during hospitalization.
